'Scamps Pre-School' opened officially on 8th September 2014 after previously been known as 'Scamps Playgroup'. The setting itself has been established since 1987 and most of the staff in the setting began their journey at 'Scamps' on the parent rota when their own children attended many years ago. The overriding passion here at 'Scamps' has always been to give every child the best possible start in life and this ethos will always remain core to our practice.
Scamps Pre-School is a privately run group and is based within the Community Centre in East Worthing. We operate from 2 adjoining rooms and provide opportunities and experiences for children aged 2-5 years. We are fortunate to have access to a private and enclosed outdoor space at the Community Centre which we are able to use daily.
Our main aim at Scamps Pre-School is to ensure the children have fun, as we recognise that children learn best when they are happy and content. We offer a wide range of activities including messy play, outdoor play, construction activities and music and movement.
